Day Four

On Wednesday and Thursday we worked with all 13 campers to create an original play together. The kids really worked well together:  coming up with the plot, characters, setting. costumes and props.  Our goal is to practice it a few more times tomorrow and then make a video of the full production. I am really proud of all the kids for their hard work and being able to create this really neat play together with friends they just met on Monday! I can't believe we only have one day left! Looking forward to lots more fun tomorrow with this great group of kids. - Kristin

Day Two

Wow! We have such amazing actors and actresses at camp!  We had 5 groups start writing skits yesterday and they performed them today.  Great job, everyone! I did take video of the performances, but promised the kids we would look at them together before sharing them. We will only share videos that everyone is happy with.  We will be starting to write a new play together tomorrow. - Kristin

Drama Camp Begins!!!

Hello! We are off to a great start at drama camp and had a lot of fun today!  I wanted to introduce myself to you. I currently teach first grade at Eagle and have been in BC for many years, having taught Kindergarten through 4th grade.  We will use this blog to post pictures and daily updates.  Our hope is to post some videos as well. We took some time getting to know each other today and testing out our acting skills. We have started writing some short plays and its great to work with such creative kids. I hope they had as much fun as I did! I can't wait to work together again tomorrow.  Hope you like today's pics.
